State bound!

Kelsey swam in two relays at the Region meet this past weekend and both of the relays qualified to swim at the State meet in Austin in 2 weeks! There were a total of 9 CHS swimmers that qualified for state!!! Go TITANS!!!!

Kelsey qualified for Regions!!!

Kelsey swam 2 relays and 2 individual events at the district meet today and qualified for Regions in all 4 events!!! In order to swim at the Regional meet, you have to place in the top six. Both of her relays placed 2nd and she placed 5th in the 50 free and 6th in the 100 back. Since she placed in the top 8 in at least one individual event, she also lettered and she was very excited about that.

Prelims for the Region meet are on Feb. 12th and finals are on the 13th. First place finishers automatically go to state but then the next 8 fastest times in the state, also get to compete at the state meet in Austin at the end of the month. We think that she has a great chance of going to state in one or both of the relays.
